Motorized vehicles are responsible for 70% of the carbon monoxide, 45% of the nitrogen dioxide and 34% of the hydrocarbons produced. The average annual price of keeping an automobile running: $6,890 (AAA).
Sign up to Bike-to-Work for the month of May. Participate in the events scheduled for May.
Information Packet:
Bike Reflectors and t-shirts will be issued based on your workplace employee participation in Bike-To-Work.
Now is the time to begin or enhance your alternative transportation program and to assure that your company receives recognition as an Alternative Transportation Champion. We are quickly approaching a time of year when we are given an opportunity to encourage our employees to use alternative transportation. If your company or organization would like to participate in the Portneuf Valley Bike-to-Work challenge, please send the following information to connie@bplan.org or download the Employee Challenge and mail to Bannock Transportation Planning Organization.
Employee Challenge participants are encouraged to sign up now. The goal is to use alternative transportation 2-3 times per week. Each business would designate a lead person. The lead person would be responsible to enter the business. Each individual from the business would keep track of his/her own commute for the month of May and send it to us via the lead person at the end of the month. Prizes will be awarded to businesses and individual participants.
Instructions:
- Designate a lead person.
- Lead person signs up the business and sends it to Bannock Transportation Planning Organization. (BTPO)
- Lead person: Get t-shirt sizes for each participant and send in with the registration.
- Each participant tracks their own commute during the month of May on the tracking sheet provided.
- Lead person gathers tracking sheets at the end of the month to turn in to BTPO.
- Information: 233-9322 or Connie Doerr connie@bplan.org

Your employees can track their participation on paper or electronically by using the tracking sheet (automatically calculates from the website form).
